Our Horses
(Lyonhil Ben Leader x Betty May) AMH #68621 '78
15.0 HH Brown Morgan Gelding.
As you probably could tell, Duke is the namesake to Clover Ridge Farm.
Maria carefully purchased Duke after years of wanting the typy Morgan
mount for her own pleasure riding and show career.
Duke has been shown Hunter Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Side Saddle,
Trail, Classic Pleasure and Classic Pleasure Driving, In-Hand and
Working Hunter. He is the versatile Morgan Horse doing his job with
ease and willingness. Duke has many Champions and Reserves to his
name.
On Saturday, October 21, 2006 after a brief but serious illness due
to his age, we made the decision to let
Duke make his journey over the Rainbow Bridge. Duke was laid to rest
under the shade of trees, next to his long time friend Tiffany.
Maria feels lucky to have had Duke in her life for all the joy he
brought not only to her and our family but all the families he
touched.
"Some horses come into our lives and quickly
go. Others say awhile, make hoofprints on our hearts and we are
never, never the same."
Maria lost a great friend and Duke will forever
be remembered!

Tiffany was our first "A" rated show horse. Aimee purchased her in
1991 and immediately hit the show circuit in the Junior Rider division.
In 1993, Aimee's last year as a Junior rider and their first Regional
level event rode to a Regional Reserve Championship in PB Hunter Pleasure
JOTR 14 - 17.
Tiffany has been shown Hunter Pleasure, Western Pleasure and English
Show Hack and had won many
Champions and Reserves in "A" rated competitions.
On Sunday, January 23rd, 2005 after a long day of illness we
humanely euthanized Tiffany. She has left a mark in our hearts and
will never be forgotten for all the life lessons she taught Aimee and
the family. Tiffany was laid to rest under the shade of trees in the
back of our property where we will be able to visit with her anytime.
Till we meet again our brave girl.
"All
horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little
girl."

15.1 HH Grey Arabian Gelding.
Moudy's true calling was and is the Working Hunter Ring where he started
in 2000 after we purchased him.
As soon as Aimee and Moudy hit the 2001 show circuit, in the Working
Hunter Divisions, they were a hit. Winning and learning as they went
along. They won their first Regional Reserve Championship that year
in PB Working Hunter AAOTR in Region 18.
In total Moudy has earned himself and Aimee 5 National Championships,
2 Reserve National Championships, 12 National Top Tens, 12 Regional Championships and
8 Reserve Championships. All these accomplishments were achieved in
Working Hunter, Hunter Hack, Sport Horse Under Saddle and Sport
Horse In-hand classes.
Moudy and Aimee are sponsored by
Nutrena once again for the 2008 show
season. This was a great surprise for Aimee in 2007 and was awarded to the
pair on their accomplishments in and out of the show arena. If you
have questions on any product or need a contact, please email or
call Clover Ridge, which only feeds
Nutrena products.

Danna) AHA #0569496 '99 16.0 HH Grey Arabian Gelding.
In June 2001, Maria noticed horse being lounged with the strangest
marking on his side. She followed the horse back to the stable and
recognized a local trainer handling him. After speaking to the trainer,
they found out that the owner of Danny was the same person that had
owned Moudy. Maria was in the market to purchase a horse that was
show ring ready but fell head over heels for this leggy not quite
2 year old gelding. After speaking to the owner of Danny, the deal
was made that day and he arrived in July of that year.
Shortly after arriving, Danny began his under saddle training to be
entered in the 2002 Region 16 3yr old Futurity in West Springfield,
Massachusetts. Hoping for the best and going more for the experience,
Danny impressively won his Halter Futurity and Unanimously won his
Under Saddle Futurity.

'00 15.1 HH Bay Half-Arabian/Friesian Mare.
In early 2002, Maria and Aimee took a trip to Louisville, Kentucky
to look at a cross of unique potential. The Regal Friesian and of
course the Eloquent Arabian. To their surprise the cross was an interesting
one. They came home with an 18 month old filly named Xena, she was
something special and looked the part of a potential Sport Horse.
Xena has been in and out of training with Aimee these past years but
has learned quite
quick what ever was presented to her. Our goal is to get her solid
under saddle and get her started in Dressage which she looks to be a
great prospect. Her full and half siblings by Loki are doing very
well in a variety of classes and we feel our opportunities are
endless with Xena.
Wiskey Breeze (Bar SN Cash
Assets x Breezys Luck) PtHA#102925 ’00 15H Cremello Mare.
Wiskey was
brought to Clover Ridge and bred to Mystery for our first foal in
2006, she was a great addition to the farm. Unfortunately, Wiskey is
not a riding horse due to an injury she sustained to her left rear
leg when younger…but you would never know she has it, she is as
spunky as her filly Cayenne!
Wiskey is a fantastic
dam, she took great care of Cayenne and was gentle with her at every
moment. We were lucky to have been right there when she gave birth
and were able to witness the whole process. We look forward to
breeding her again at some point in the future but right now, she is
just enjoying life here on the farm.
CatchMeIfUCayenne CR
(Selket Mystery x Wiskey Breeze) IAHA #1A364548 ‘07 Buckskin Mare.
Cayenne was our first
attempt at breeding and was carefully thought out when deciding on
what we wanted to accomplish with the pairing of our stallion
Mystery onto Wiskey.
Cayenne is structurally
correct with a great hind end, expressive large eyes on a typey
head, her gaits are athletic and fluid using her fantastic shoulder
which will help in her future career as Aimee’s future Working
Hunter mount.
Cayenne holds a VERY special
place here at Clover Ridge as well. She was born 6 months to the day
of the passing of Jason, our son and brother, and was named in
memory of Jason’s love of the culinary arts. He always wanted to
name his daughter Cayenne…this is our way to have his memory around
always.
The future is wide open for
Cayenne and she is loving being a foal playing with her pasture
mates. Aimee has started halter training Cayenne with a possible
debut at the Region 16 Championship Show in Syracuse this summer…
